Kingston / Napanee T&F Club
KBM owner Shane Lakins began coaching T&F in 1991 when he started the Napanee Legion T&F Club. After moving to Kingston, the club merged and became the Kingston/Napanee T&F Club. The goal of "TNT 2007" is to provide opportunities for local athletes to participate in a fun community oriented event. Regardless of age or ability, come out and enjoy friendly competition. You do NOT need to be a member of a club. "TNT 2007" is not about winning, but rather about participation and achieving your own personal best.
The Kingston / Napanee Track & Field Club is sanctioned by the Ontario Track & Field Assocition. It is designed for youth ages 8-18. Our mission is to encourage and help young people develop physically, emotionally and socially by providing opportunities in the areas of track and field. They will learn skills related to the sport and improve physical conditioning. They will build feelings of self-esteem by recognizing their individual achievements. Lastly, they will be part of a team, form friendships, learn good sportsmanship and have fun. The coaching is made up of volunteers who place the well being of the athletes first. We encourage young athletes to discover what they like and do best. We are here to help the individual athlete set and achieve their goals. Coaches build workouts to improve endurance, strength and speed.
